Gnome Homes is pleased to offer an optional electric brake system for our trailers. It is rated for a load of 3,500 pounds.
Canada Transport guidelines do not require a braking system for trailers under 2,000 pounds. As all of our Gnome Home trailers come in a dry weight less than 1,500 pounds you generally don't require a braking system for our trailers however for those who might use their trailer in more mountainous / steep road environments, a brake system can offer some safety advantage.
A brake controller is required for effective use of this system. If you don't currently have a brake controller we have an additional wireless option that works off of your cell phone. (See Electric Brake Controller)

Every Gnome Home is built on a custom-welded, galvanized steel frame designed to resist rust and structural failure for a lifetime.
Most SUVs and many smaller vehicles can pull our trailers easily. The lightweight aluminum skin and aerodynamic shape minimize fuel drag.
We use a Timbren 2000 HD independent suspension system. This eliminates the traditional axle, providing a smoother ride and better ground clearance.
Our trailers are compact enough to fit inside a standard residential garage, protecting your investment from winter weather and saving storage fees.
The underside is fully sealed with aluminum skin. This creates an impenetrable barrier against moisture, road salt, and nesting rodents.
