Electric Brakes

Gnome Homes is pleased to offer an optional electric brake system for our trailers.   It is rated for a load of 3,500 pounds.

Canada Transport guidelines do not require a braking system for trailers under 2,000 pounds.  As all of our Gnome Home trailers come in a dry weight less than 1,500 pounds you generally don't require a braking system for our trailers however for those who might use their trailer in more mountainous / steep road environments, a brake system can offer some safety advantage.

A brake controller is required for effective use of this system.  If you don't currently have a brake controller we have an additional wireless option that works off of your cell phone. (See Electric Brake Controller)
